Youth from all over Louisiana will travel to the SU Ag Center for the Annual Youth and Family Expo to be held June 17-18, 2005. This 2-day educational event will feature sessions and workshops on self-esteem, the juvenile justice system, livestock opportunities, drug and alcohol awareness, along with many other demonstrations and tours.

This year's theme, Sowing Seeds for Success, reflects the purpose of the Family and Youth Expo, encouraging students to always strive to be the best and inspiring them for future success. Motivational speaker, Roderick Glover, will address the participants during the General Assembly, providing knowledge and insight on ways of achieving success.

The 2005 Family and Youth Exposition will end with a Quiz Bowl, featuring questions ranging from the history of Southern University to current events. An awards program will also be held, where the participants and winners of each competition will be awarded with certificates and trophies.
