Will It Be You?
The Southern University Ag Center has produced a 20-minute documentary entitled, “Will It Be You”?, capturing the current pulse of city leaders’ who evaluate
their personal reactions to the 2005 hurricanes and share their concerns about emergency planning. This documentary presents mayors and police jurors who share
lessons learned and solutions to better serving and protecting constituents. This documentary also includes administrators in emergency preparedness, social
services, and the judicial system who recount candid memories of 2005 and the ongoing efforts to rebuild lives and infrastructure.
Overall, the documentary probes into the rhetorical question of who will take the responsibility of protecting the state. The answer may surprise some.
