The Southern University Ag Center's 8th Annual Faith and Community Economic Development
Conference was a huge success last month, with more than 200 people in attendance, 25
sessions, and the noted Church Administration and Management Institute.
Convening in Monroe, LA February 17-19, this year's conference acknowledged
the fact that regardless of your situation in life or the status of your organization or
community, we all go through a "RE" period in which we must REfocus our efforts or
REevaluate our direction to ensure that we are on the right course. The conference
was geared to help participants REnewREdefine their organization,
REevaluate their programs, and most importantly, REvive their communities.
The 2005 Faith-Based Conference offered workshops on individual development, organizational
development, and community and program development and reinforced the fervent point of
sustaining, renewing and bringing resources in a collective environment conducive for learning
and networking.
The Conference also offered a second tract, The Church Administration and
Management Institute. The Institute was geared towards assisting church leaders and staff
members in becoming more effective and efficient in their day-to-day operations.
Highlights of the key conference events, including the luncheon, banquet,
prayer breakfast, and gospel concert can be purchased on a 2-DVD set for $25.00, including
